Level 1 certificate awarded to leading black empowered research company, African Response

BRYANSTON - African Response, South Africa’s largest black empowered market research company, has just been awarded its Level 1 certificate for its contribution to the principles of BBBEE.. This has been awarded by an accredited and independent BBBEE rating company – SERA.

“This is in line (we must be) with our long term strategy of driving transformation in the industry” states Mamapudi Nkgadima, newly appointed Managing Director of African Response.. It is very pleasing to have the official rating as a confirmation of our efforts.”

African Response is a Qualifying Small Enterprise based on the Codes of Good Practice issued in terms of section 9 of the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act (53 of 2003). As such, African Response was measured on 4 elected elements. These elements comprised:

• Ownership,
• Management and Control,
• Employment Equity, and
• Preferential Procurement.

Ratings were high across all of the above elements.

African Response is a fully equipped local research company that has a global network and infrastructural support from shareholder Synovate.

African Response was established in 2003 under Managing Director, Beatrice Kubheka. After making a massive contribution to the business and continually focussing on transformation within the company, Kubheka has moved onto Chairperson of the business and Mamapudi Nkgadima has been appointed as the new Managing Director.

Nkgadima concludes “We believe the value of transformation at company level will ultimately help to transform the industry as a whole. With this in mind, we are very proud to be making strides and leading the way in the South African market research industry”.
